WELCOME TO EEEASD–2025
"Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse (Ruse, Bulgaria) and the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) are holding an international conference on Energy and Environmental Engineering for Sustainable Agricultural Development (EEEASD – 2025) on May 20-22, 2025. The partners of the conference are Iowa State University and Ohio State University (USA), Ondokuz Mayis University and the Association of Ecological Agriculture Organization (Turkey), Malaysian University of Technology (Malaysia), Bangladesh Agricultural University, Kazakh Agro Technical University named after S.Seifulin and South Kazakhstan University named after M.Auezov (Kazakhstan).

The aim of the Conference is to bring together leading experts and researchers to exchange experiences and knowledge in the fields of energy and environmental engineering for sustainable agricultural development. The event focuses on exploring innovative approaches in sustainable farming, water resource management, energy efficiency in the agro-industrial complex, environmental management, digitalization of agriculture, and related socio-economic aspects. The conference seeks to stimulate interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration to develop comprehensive solutions that promote a balance between agricultural production, energy efficiency, and environmental protection in the context of global sustainable development challenges.

The conference will provide academic and industrial communities with an opportunity to share new challenges and solutions, discuss research directions in the fields of energy efficiency, environmental and agricultural engineering, and solutions for sustainable agricultural development. Faculty members and researchers from universities, as well as representatives from academia and industry, are invited to participate.

Professor of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University (Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering), USA
Brian L. Steward is Professor of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University.

Dr. Steward teaches in the areas of fluid power engineering and technology, dynamic systems modeling and simulation, and solid modeling. His research focuses on agricultural machinery systems including virtual design, vehicle testing, fluid power, field automation and sensing at the machine-soil-plant interface and. Dr. Steward is professor-in-charge of the Danfoss Fluid Power Teaching Laboratory and the Off-Highway Vehicle Chassis Dynamometer Laboratory. He leads the fluid power educational programs at ISU, training approximately 160 students per year in fluid power. He also teaches hydraulics short courses to practicing engineers. He is a member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers in which he been an associate editor of ASABE journals for over 15 years. He has over 300 technical publications and presentations including 54 refereed journal articles and 65 invited talks. He has received more than $7.0 million in grants and contracts as a principal investigator or co-principal investigator. Dr. Steward received his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University, and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Prof. Pavel Vitliemov, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the "Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse in Bulgaria, where he works in the Department of Business Development and Innovation. His expertise spans multiple disciplines, including Engineering Science & Technology, Agriculture, Computer Science, and Environmental Sciences & Ecology.
Prof. Vitliemov is actively involved in research and academic activities, with a focus on artificial intelligence applications in management decision-making. He has contributed to studies exploring the challenges and opportunities of AI in organizational contexts, particularly in areas such as human resource management and strategic planning.
As a respected researcher, Prof. Vitliemov has published numerous scientific papers and participated in international projects. His work is recognized in academic databases, reflecting his contributions to the field.
At the University of Ruse, Prof. Vitliemov is engaged in teaching and research activities related to technology adoption, innovation management, and the socio-technical aspects of AI implementation in businesses. Manuscripts are accepted on topics related to the conference theme, prepared according to the provided template and requirements. Authors should ensure their submissions adhere to the specified guidelines and align with the conference's focus on agricultural engineering, green infrastructure solutions, and sustainable development. All manuscripts must be submitted in English and follow the prescribed structure and formatting rules. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the submission requirements before preparing their manuscripts to ensure compliance with all necessary criteria.
Requirements for Papers for EEEASD–2025 Conference
General Guidelines
  1. Originality: The submitted paper must be an original work and should not have been previously published or presented at another meeting.
  2. Language: The paper should be written in English.
  3. Format: Use the E3S Web of Conferences template available in Word. Ensure consistency in formatting throughout the volume.
Paper Structure
  1. Abstract: The abstract should be concise and no longer than 200 words, excluding the abstract title, authors, and affiliations. It should provide a comprehensive overview of the paper's main points and contributions.
  2. Paper Length: The paper should be at least four pages long, formatted in a two-column layout on A4 paper size.
  3. Content: The paper should align with the scope of the conference and the publisher's guidelines to ensure relevance to the conference's objectives.
Author Information
  1. Author Limit: There is no specific limit on the number of authors for E3S Web of Conferences, but authors should be listed individually.
  2. Affiliations: Each author can have up to two institutions listed.
Submission Process
  1. Submission Method: Papers can only be submitted by conference organizers. Authors should coordinate with the organizers for submission. The contacts are given at the bottom of the website.
  2. Plagiarism Check: Ensure that the paper passes a plagiarism check. Any ethical misconduct will be addressed seriously. Papers with similarity rate more than 20 percent will be rejected.
Copyright and Licensing
  1. Copyright: The copyright is retained by the author(s) under the Creative Commons Attribution license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited.
Re-use Policy
  1. Updating Papers: Conference papers may be updated or enhanced for further publication as regular journal articles, provided they contain substantial new or previously unpublished results.
  2. Citation Requirement: Journal articles derived from conference proceedings must include a citation to the original proceedings paper.
Additional Requirements
  1. Tracking and Certification: Ensure that any tracking blockers on devices or browsers used do not prevent proper tracking of attendee activity if the paper is presented virtually.
  2. Transparency: If Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI tools are used in drafting the paper, this must be openly acknowledged with full details of the model used.
REVIEW PROCESS
The Organizing Committee will ensure a rigorous review process for each submitted paper by sending it to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Each paper will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
  1. Relevance to Conference Directions: The paper must align with the themes and objectives of the conference.
  2. Scientific-Technical Originality, Potential Impact, and Interest for the Audience: Reviewers will assess the novelty of the research and its significance to the scientific community.
  3. Scientific and Technical Content, Novelty, and Importance: The depth and quality of the research presented will be critically analyzed.
  4. Quality of Presentation, Clarity of Content: The organization and clarity of the paper's presentation will be evaluated to ensure effective communication of ideas.
  5. Comments for All Authors: Reviewers will provide constructive feedback to all authors, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • The reviewers will indicate their familiarity with the subject matter of each paper and provide evaluations based on the aforementioned criteria. Ultimately, the Organizing Committee will make decisions regarding which papers will be accepted for presentation at the conference. However, the final decision rests with the Publisher.This thorough review process is designed to maintain high academic standards and ensure that only quality research is showcased at the conference.
